Ordering.co vs Tookan / Jungleworks

Tookan manages delivery operations: task intake, dispatch, driver tracking and execution. In the Jungleworks suite, Yelo supplies ordering and local-commerce experiences, while Kato is an analytics product. Ordering.co connects customer channels, merchants, payments and delivery on one ordering foundation. Compare the products and contracts needed for your actual order flow; a feature described for Yelo or Kato is not automatically included in a Tookan subscription.

Why compare the whole ordering operation

  • Connect demand to dispatch

Ordering.co connects a merchant’s menu, customer checkout and accepted order to delivery. Tookan can receive delivery work from other systems; define which ordering product creates the work and what happens when it changes.

  • Keep merchant and driver decisions aligned

Use the same order context for store availability, delivery zones, driver assignment and proof. When using a modular stack, specify the owner of cancellations, reassignment, customer updates and duplicate-task recovery at each boundary.

  • Know the code and data you can extend

Ordering.co includes frontend source and APIs; its backend remains managed by default. Compare the proposed Jungleworks module, branding, API, export and support rights without assuming that a white-label interface includes source ownership.

Ordering, dispatch and analytics
Customer storefront and merchant catalogBranded websites and customer apps connect menus, checkout, merchant order handling and delivery.Add-onYelo is the separate commerce product in the suite. A Tookan booking form or customer pickup request should not be treated as a complete restaurant catalog, checkout and merchant operation.
Dispatch and driver trackingDriver availability, assignment, navigation, communication and proof by PIN, photo, signature or video. Google Maps helps estimates and grouping; it is not a complete route-optimization engine.Tookan focuses on task intake, automatic assignment, live tracking and delivery execution. Validate the plan’s proof, route and failure handling with your own workload.
Routing scopeGoogle Maps assists traffic-aware estimates and grouping. A complete route-optimization engine or off-route vehicle alerts are not promised.Tookan markets route optimization; the offered plan and any mapping or routing component need their own scope, cost and acceptance test.
Analytics and KatoDashboard reports cover the ordering operation; define specialist BI, source feeds and analytical models separately.Tookan has task/driver analytics. Kato is a distinct BI product, and Yelo help describes Kato reports and exports. Do not infer that Kato reports or all data sources are bundled with every Tookan plan.
Money, modules and data
Payments and financial flowConnect supported gateways and merchant accounts, with country, fees, settlement, refunds and exception ownership defined.Delivery task completion does not establish the customer checkout, merchant payout or gateway agreement. Scope those responsibilities in Yelo or the connected ordering/payment system.
Task charges and complete costCompare platform, implementation, usage, devices, payment processing, delivery and custom work over the same operating period.Obtain the current task allowance, pickup/delivery counting rule, extra-task price, branding, routing, booking, messaging and connector charges. Include Yelo or Kato only when contracted. Older indexed rate tables are not a verified current quote.
Reports and data portabilityMap customer, merchant and driver data, consent, records and exports before migration. Assign the system of record for each event.Official help describes task-status analytics and exportable reports; Yelo/Kato help also describes CSV, JSON and API report exports. Confirm current entitlement and fields per module.
Hosting and interfacesManaged infrastructure by default; enterprise packages can install the same backend in your AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure or Railway account.A hosted dashboard, branded interface, integrations and customer forms are different scope items. Confirm tenant ownership, backup/export, incident recovery and any custom deployment in the agreement.

Do not combine module names into one entitlement

  • Dispatch is not the entire commerce stack

A merchant catalog, customer app, checkout, task creation, dispatch and reporting can cross several products. Record which product and team support each transition, especially cancellation after a courier is assigned.

  • Count the delivery units you actually operate

Compare one commercial order with its pickup, dropoff, retries and returns. Establish how the agreement counts each task and what triggers extra charges before multiplying a headline monthly amount by your order volume.

  • BI documentation is not an active data pipeline

Kato and Yelo help establish a reporting route, not that every current Tookan account already has the required report, identity join or export permission. Validate the data flow and support owner with the contracted modules.

Proven with enterprise brands.

The platform you would run on already runs ordering for Alsea, a multi-brand restaurant group with more than 4,000 locations.

Alsea runs WOW+ and ten restaurant brands on one ordering platform.Domino's, Starbucks, Burger King, Vips, and six more brands share one app, one website, call centers, and a delivery operation that assigns drivers automatically.10 brands on WOW+4,262 locationsMexico and ColombiaRead the Alsea story

Move the order-to-task contract deliberately

What moves

  • Order and delivery identities

Map order IDs, pickup/dropoff tasks, zones, driver accounts, proof, time windows and cancellation states. Preserve the relationship between one customer order and all of its delivery tasks.

  • Reports, billing and external accounts

Export authorized records and reconcile paid tasks, driver costs, refunds and reports. Inventory Yelo/Kato accounts, SMS/maps services, gateways and connector credentials.

How the move runs

  1. Identify the full suite in use

List Tookan, Yelo, Kato and external-system contracts separately. Decide whether to move dispatch only or customer ordering and merchant operations too.

  2. Test cross-system exceptions

Run a merchant rejection, paid-order cancellation, unavailable driver, failed delivery and retry. Confirm task creation, notifications and financial reconciliation without duplicates.

  3. Cut over after a reconciled pilot

Train merchants and dispatchers, switch the agreed channels and keep prior reports accessible until tasks, payments and balances reconcile. No native Tookan-to-Ordering.co connector is assumed.

Questions about Jungleworks products

Are Tookan and Yelo the same platform purchase?

No. Tookan addresses delivery execution; Yelo addresses ordering and commerce. They can participate in a combined design, but confirm each module, connection and charge in the proposal.

What does Kato add?

Kato is business intelligence and visualization. Yelo help describes custom reports and exports through Kato. That is different from Tookan’s operational task analytics and does not establish an included universal BI license.

How do I evaluate Jungleworks competitors?

Compare the same order intake, dispatch, driver, payment and reporting responsibilities. Include every required module and use a failed-delivery example; avoid comparing a standalone dispatch price with a complete ordering operation.

Does Ordering.co replace every Tookan routing feature?

Do not assume so. Ordering.co connects local ordering and delivery, but does not claim a complete route optimizer or off-route compliance. Demonstrate any specialist logistics requirement before choosing a replacement.
