Ordering.co automation
Tell every customer where their order is, on WhatsApp.
Keep customers informed on WhatsApp. Ordering.co messages them when their order is received and as its status changes, with no manual work from your team.
How the automation runs
One order, a message at every step.
When
A customer places an orderThe order reaches your store through your website, apps, or any other Ordering.co sales channel.
Then
- Order received
The customer gets a WhatsApp message confirming that the order arrived.
- Status updates
As the order status changes, the customer gets a new WhatsApp message.
- Your team keeps working
Messages go out automatically from the order status, so nobody has to call or text the customer.
Fewer “where is my order?” calls
Customers want to know that their order arrived and when it will be ready. WhatsApp order notifications give them that answer in the app they already check, without your team picking up the phone.
- Confirmation right away. The customer knows the order reached your store.
- Updates at every step. A new message goes out as the order status changes.
- No manual work. Messages follow the order status in Ordering.co, so they stay in step with your operation.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Who receives the WhatsApp messages?
The customer who placed the order. They get a message when the order is received and a new one as the order status changes.
Is this a separate app my team has to run?
No. It is an automation built into Ordering.co. Once your messaging channel is connected and the setting is on, messages follow each order's status without any action from your staff.
What do I need before turning it on?
A WhatsApp sender through Twilio or the messaging provider you prefer. Our team connects it with you, then you turn on Allow text messages WhatsApp in Settings > Pro > Push notifications.
How is this different from the WhatsApp Business AI agent?
The AI agent answers questions and takes orders in a WhatsApp conversation. Order notifications keep customers updated about an order they already placed. You can use both.
Can I still use push notifications and email?
Yes. WhatsApp messages sit alongside push notifications and email alerts, which you configure for each type of user in the Dashboard.
