What Stream brings

  • One menu for every channel. Manage a single menu and publish it to delivery apps such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub with one click, including different prices per channel.
  • Orders on your POS. Receive orders directly on your POS and manage them from the Stream Dashboard.
  • Kitchen controls. Real-time order cancellation, prep time edits, and order throttling across one or many locations.

How orders move between Ordering.co and your POS

  1. The customer orders on your website or app, chooses delivery or pickup, and confirms at checkout.
  2. Ordering.co sends the order to Stream for the linked location, with customer and delivery details, itemized products, discounts, taxes, fees, and the driver tip. Each order is sent once.
  3. Stream forwards the order to your POS. When the POS accepts it, the order moves to Accepted by business in Ordering.co.
  4. If the POS rejects the order, it moves to Rejected by business, and the reason is kept on the order.
  5. As a driver picks up and delivers the order, Ordering.co sends each step to Stream. Cancellations made in either system are sent to the other.

Set up and go live

  1. Open the Stream setup for your Ordering.co store and select Connect with Stream Orders.
  2. Authorize the connection in Stream and choose the location to link.
  3. When you return to Ordering.co, check that the store shows as Connected.
  4. Publish the menu from Stream, then check the store’s categories and products.

    In the Stream setup for your Ordering.co store, select Connect with Stream Orders. You are taken to Stream to authorize the connection.

Stream already connects my POS to delivery apps. Why add Ordering.co?

Stream connects delivery marketplaces and ordering channels to your POS. Ordering.co is built for online ordering itself, with more than 20 products and more than 1,500 features, custom design with help from our team, APIs and MCP, and application source code on eligible plans. You keep your POS and Stream in place and run your own online ordering on Ordering.co next to your marketplace channels.

What does the Stream integration sync?

Your menu comes from Stream, including categories, products, prices, and modifier groups. Online orders go to your POS through Stream with customer and delivery details, delivery or pickup, itemized products, discounts, taxes, fees, and the driver tip. Stream sends back when the POS accepts, rejects, or cancels an order, and Ordering.co sends cancellations and delivery progress to Stream.

How do items go on and off the menu?

When Stream switches an item or modifier on or off, the change reaches your Ordering.co store without a full menu sync. Publishing the menu again from Stream updates the existing items instead of duplicating them.

What happens if my POS cannot take an order?

If the POS rejects the order, for example because it is offline or items are unavailable, Stream reports it and the order is marked as rejected by the business in Ordering.co, with the reason kept on the order.

Can I pause a location?

Yes. Pausing or resuming a location in Stream disables or enables the store in Ordering.co, and disabling or enabling the store in Ordering.co updates its status in Stream.

Is Stream the same as my POS?

No. Stream sits between your ordering channels and your POS. Your POS stays where your staff already work, and Stream delivers Ordering.co orders to it.
