Why use Square with Ordering.co
- One menu to maintain. Update items, prices, and modifiers in Square and sync them to your online store instead of editing two menus.

- Customers see progress in real time. Status changes made in Square update the customer’s tracking page automatically.
- Stock stays aligned. Inventory counts are decremented in Square when an online order is finalized.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Square already offers online ordering. Why add Ordering.co?
Square is built around the point of sale. Ordering.co is built for online ordering, with more than 20 products and more than 1,500 features, custom design with help from our team, APIs and MCP, and application source code on eligible plans. You keep Square at the counter and run a far more complete online operation on top of it.
What does the Square integration sync?
Your menu comes from Square, including categories, items, and modifiers. Online orders go to Square with customer and delivery details, itemized products and modifiers, taxes, and totals. Order status changes made in Square come back to Ordering.co, cancellations made in Ordering.co are sent to Square, and inventory counts are decremented in Square when an online order is finalized.
Do my staff need to watch the Ordering.co dashboard?
No. Once the integration is live, staff can fulfill online orders from the Square Dashboard like any in-store purchase. Status changes they make in Square update the customer's tracking page.
How fast do order updates reach customers?
Many updates appear almost instantly. The sync cycle verifies data within about 60 seconds, and a delayed status update is queued and retried within the following minute instead of being dropped.
Can I connect several locations?
Yes. Each store connects to its own Square account, so pricing and availability stay accurate per location. Each store has one POS connection.
Where should I maintain the menu?
Keep Square as your master catalog. Clean up items and categories and set sizes and add-ons as Square modifiers before you sync, because the sync pulls exactly what is in Square.
Can I also take online payments with Square?
Yes. Square Checkout lets customers pay online on a Square-hosted payment page. It is a separate payment integration from the Square POS connection.
