Bring drivers on board and keep their schedules straight.
Create driver accounts, set each driver's schedule, and put a driver manager in charge of a delivery group, while your team watches delivery coverage store by store.
Driver onboarding and schedules
What you can do
Driver schedules
Schedules that switch drivers on and off automatically.
Driver availability
Mark drivers busy automatically and monitor who can take an order.
Driver accounts
An admin creates a driver account from the Dashboard, or a driver signs up directly if your project allows driver sign-up; either way, the driver signs in to the Driver app.
Unlimited drivers
Add as many drivers as your operation needs.
Onboarding tutorial
New drivers see a short introduction to the Driver app the first time they open it, when the project configures one.
Schedule gate
Drivers review their seven-day schedule in the app, and sign-in can be blocked outside it when schedule validation is on.
Driver store status
See delivery coverage store by store: connected drivers, unassigned orders, and stores with nobody covering them.
Driver managers
Create driver manager accounts that oversee a delivery group and the drivers in it.
Driver app
A short introduction for new drivers.
When the project configures a tutorial, new drivers see a five-slide introduction before their first sign-in, covering what to expect from their first deliveries.
- New-order alerts
- Delivery details and timing
- Opening navigation for a delivery
- Adding photos or notes
- Completing a delivery
- Shown only when the project configures a tutorial
Driver app
Drivers see their week, and the app can enforce it.
From Profile, drivers review their seven-day schedule. When schedule validation is on, the app blocks sign-in outside those hours instead of only displaying the schedule.
- Seven-day schedule with the enabled time windows for each day
- Days with no availability show as "Not available"
- Outside the schedule, drivers see a "You can't login" screen instead of the driver workspace
- The screen can show the next time the driver is scheduled to work
- "Go back" signs the driver out from that screen
- Schedule validation is a setting your project turns on
Dashboard
See delivery coverage store by store.
Driver store status gives your team a live view of delivery coverage: which stores have drivers connected, and which don't.
- Summary cards for enabled stores and drivers, and how many are online, busy, or offline
- Per store: connected drivers, online drivers, and unassigned orders
- Stores with no connected driver are highlighted
- Updates live as drivers and orders change, with a Reload control
- Search by store name
Dashboard
Give delivery groups their own managers.
Driver managers are accounts dedicated to coordinating delivery groups and the drivers in them, separate from administrator accounts.
- Add a driver manager with a name, email, phone number, and password
- Assign a driver manager to one or more delivery groups
- Driver managers see the drivers in the delivery groups assigned to them
- Driver managers have their own profile and saved places
How it works
From setup to the next order.
- 01Create driver accounts
Add each driver in Dashboard > Delivery > Drivers, then assign them to a delivery group so orders can reach them.
- 02Set schedules and assign a manager
Set each driver's schedule, and assign a driver manager to oversee their delivery group.
- 03Watch coverage as drivers come online
New drivers see their onboarding tutorial and schedule in the app; your team checks store coverage from Driver store status.
Good to know
- The onboarding tutorial and schedule validation are shown only when the project configures them; a driver doesn't necessarily see either one.
- Driver store status is a live, read-only view of coverage; it doesn't assign a driver or change an order.
- Drivers marking themselves busy or available automatically is covered in more detail on Driver dispatch.
