Analytics integration

Track your ordering channels in Segment.

Track commerce actions on your Ordering.co website and apps with Segment, and send that data to the analytics and marketing tools you already use.

Your own ordering channels, connected to your data stack

Segment moves your customer data between tools. Ordering.co runs the ordering channels that data comes from:

  • More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across websites, apps, marketplaces, kiosks, call centers, loyalty, and delivery.
  • Your own branded channels. Your website and apps run under your brand, and their activity flows into your own Segment workspace.
  • Your design, not a template. Build an ordering experience with your own custom design, with help from our team.
  • Built to extend. APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.

Why use Segment with Ordering.co

  • Website and apps in one place. Track commerce actions from your ordering website and apps together.
  • One field to set up. Paste your Segment Tracking ID in the Dashboard and save.
  • Reuse your data stack. Send ordering activity to the tools you already connect in Segment.
  • Your workspace, your data. Tracking goes to your own Segment account.

What Segment brings

Segment, part of Twilio, describes these capabilities on its website:

  • Collect, clean, and activate customer data in any tool.
  • Activation to a data warehouse or more than 550 destinations for a unified customer view.
  • Unified profiles, advanced audiences, and real-time journeys built from that data.

How ordering activity reaches Segment

  1. A customer browses and orders on your Ordering.co website or app.
  2. Commerce actions on your platform are tracked with your Segment Tracking ID.
  3. Segment receives the activity in your workspace.
  4. Segment forwards it to the destinations you connected.

Set up and go live

The Ordering.co Segment settings guide covers the Dashboard field:

  1. In your Segment workspace, copy the tracking value for the source that will receive your ordering data.
  2. In the Ordering.co Dashboard, open the Integrations settings category.
  3. Paste the value into Segment Tracking ID and save.
  4. Place a test order and confirm the activity in Segment.

Keep your Tracking ID in the Dashboard only, never in screenshots, tickets, or shared documents.

More ways to measure

  • Google Analytics 4 sends website ecommerce events to your own GA4 property.
  • Meta Pixel measures your Meta ad campaigns with website events.
  • Ordering Analytics gives you orders, sales, and operations reports inside the Ordering.co Dashboard.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What does Segment do in Ordering.co?

It tracks commerce actions on your Ordering.co website and apps, so the activity can reach your Segment workspace and the tools you connect to it.

What do I need to set it up?

A Segment workspace and the Segment Tracking ID for the source that will receive your ordering data. You add that ID once in the Dashboard.

Where does the data go after Segment?

To the destinations you connect in your own Segment workspace, such as analytics, marketing, or warehouse tools. Those connections are set up in Segment.

Can I use Segment together with Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel?

Yes. Each integration has its own setting. If Segment also forwards data to the same Google Analytics or Meta property, check that events are not counted twice.
