Analytics integration
Measure your online orders in Google Analytics 4.
Send page views, product clicks, add-to-cart events, and purchases from your Ordering.co website to your own Google Analytics 4 property.
Your own ordering channel, measured in your own property
Google Analytics shows how people use your website. Ordering.co gives you the ordering channel worth measuring:
- More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across websites, apps, kiosks, call centers, loyalty, and delivery.
- Your brand, your data. Your own branded ordering channels, with a custom design built with help from our team.
- Built to extend. Connect your own tools through APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.
Why use Google Analytics 4 with Ordering.co
- Ecommerce events without custom code. Your website already sends page views, product clicks, add-to-cart events, and purchases.
- Revenue by order. Each purchase carries the order ID, total, tax, delivery fee, and currency, so you can follow sales from visit to order.
- One field to set up. Paste your Measurement ID in the Dashboard and save.
- Consent first. With cookie consent enabled, Google Analytics loads only after the customer accepts.

- Opening a product sends select_item, and adding it to the cart sends add_to_cart, with the product ID, name, category, and price.
- When the customer places the order, a purchase event is sent with the order ID, total, tax, delivery fee, and currency.
- You review the results in your Google Analytics reports.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Which events does my Ordering.co website send to Google Analytics 4?
Your website sends a page_view when customers move between pages, select_item when they open a product, add_to_cart when they add a product, and purchase when they place an order. When a customer logs in, their Ordering.co user ID is set on the session.
What order data reaches Google Analytics?
Each purchase event carries the order ID as the transaction ID, the order total, tax, the delivery fee, the currency, and the business name. Product events carry the product ID, name, category, price, and quantity.
Which ID should I use?
Use the Measurement ID of a GA4 web data stream, which starts with G-. Google stopped processing data in standard Universal Analytics properties on July 1, 2023, so older UA- IDs no longer collect new data.
Does Google Analytics respect my cookie banner?
Yes. When cookie consent is enabled on your website, Google Analytics loads only after the customer accepts cookies.
Do I need to rebuild my website after saving the ID?
If your website is built with the Ordering.co Builder, rebuild it after saving so the storefront picks up the change. Then place a test order and confirm the events in Google Analytics.
Can I add other Google tags?
Yes. Use Google Tag Manager to add more tags to your website. If you keep the GA4 ID in the Dashboard, do not add a second GA4 tag with the same ID in Tag Manager, or events will be counted twice.
