Set your taxes and fees once. Checkout applies them.
Configure taxes and service fees by store and product, add a platform fee, charge delivery by zone, and offer driver tips. Every order picks up the right charges, and customers see each one before they pay.

Taxes by store
Set a tax percentage for each store, plus a delivery tax on the delivery fee.
Taxes by product

Applied on every order
Once configured, taxes and fees are added to each order at checkout, with no manual step.
Service fees

A clear order bill
Customers see the subtotal, discounts, taxes and fees, delivery, tip, and total before they place the order.
Dashboard
Taxes set by store and by product.
Enter the taxes each store charges and the taxes each product carries. Once they are in place, checkout adds them to every order on its own.
- Set a tax percentage for each store in the store’s Tax & fees
- Set a delivery tax percentage, and choose whether the delivery tax is included in the delivery fee
- Assign taxes to a product from its Advanced settings
- Apply several taxes, and keep tax-exempt items untaxed
- See each product’s tax next to its price in the product list
- Give each store location its own tax percentage to match local rules
- Checkout groups taxes and fees in one row that customers can expand for detail
Dashboard
Service fees, and fees for specific choices.
Charge a service fee on a store’s orders, or add customer fees that apply only when a customer makes a particular choice, such as paying in cash or ordering for delivery.
- Set a service fee as a percentage for each store
- Add a fee to individual products
- Name each customer fee the way customers will see it at checkout
- Choose a fixed amount or a percentage of the order total, with a fixed minimum for percentage fees
- Limit a fee to delivery or pickup orders
- Limit a fee to a payment method, such as cash
- Limit a fee to a site, such as your marketplace website, app, or kiosk
- Schedule a fee for a date range, such as a holiday period, so it appears and disappears from checkout on its own
- Point an offer at the service fee to discount it
Dashboard
Your platform’s own fee on each order.
Add a platform fee that customers pay at checkout, set once for the whole platform in Settings > Platform settings.
- Set a fixed platform fee, such as 2.00
- Or set a percentage platform fee
- Customers see the fee in the order bill before they pay
Dashboard
Delivery fees that follow the zone.
A store can have several delivery zones, each with its own fee and minimum order. The fee that applies comes from the customer’s address, so nobody calculates it by hand.
- Draw a zone as a circle or a polygon, cover everywhere, or set zones by distance from the store
- Set a delivery fee and a minimum order for each zone
- Use distance-based zones to charge different fees depending on how close the customer is
- Pickup orders carry no delivery fee
- Point an offer at the delivery fee to discount it
- In a multi-store checkout, discount delivery by cart position, or make it free when the combined order reaches an amount you set
Website and customer apps
Tips customers choose at checkout.
Customers can add a tip for their driver while they place the order, from options you set in Settings > Platform settings.
- Choose a percentage or a fixed-amount tip format
- Set the preset values customers see, such as 5, 10, 15, and 20
- Let customers enter a custom tip amount
- Customers can also choose not to leave a tip
- Show or require the tip field for each order type in Checkout by order type
- A tip can also appear on pickup orders when you enable it
How it works
From setup to the next order.
- 01Set store taxes and fees
In the store’s Tax & fees, enter the tax percentage, the service fee, and the delivery tax.
- 02Add product and customer fees
Assign taxes and fees to products, and add customer fees for the order types, payment methods, or sites that need them.
- 03Set delivery fees and tips
Set a fee for each delivery zone, then choose the tip format and the preset values customers see.
Good to know
- Ordering.co applies the tax rates you enter for each store and product; it does not look up rates by jurisdiction. Confirm the rates and rules that apply where each store operates.
- With Stripe Connect, the driver tip goes to the store’s connected account by default. It does not pay the driver automatically, so pay drivers through your own process.
- Totals refresh when the cart, address, or order type changes, and checkout rechecks them when the order is placed.
