Bring hotel dining orders to the team that serves each guest.
Let guests order from a branded website or app, or reach a menu through a QR code. Define room service, poolside, and seated dining as distinct service journeys so each order reaches the right team.
From order to handoff
- 1Choose the outlet and servicePresent the relevant menu, hours, and delivery or dine-in flow for the restaurant, room-service kitchen, or other outlet.
- 2Identify the guest’s destinationFor rooms, agree how building, room number, guest contact, and delivery instructions are captured and shown to staff. For seated service, configure table identifiers and test the QR journey.
- 3Prepare and hand offThe merchant team receives and manages orders. Assign responsibility for kitchen preparation and delivery to the room, table, or agreed pickup point.
- 4Take payment and reconcileUse a supported, configured payment method. Treat posting a charge to a room folio as a separate PMS integration, with guest validation and reconciliation agreed in scope.
One property, several service areas
A room, pool lounger, restaurant table, and conference seat need usable destination details. Agree the identifiers and staff view for each area before rollout.
Explore table ordering- Rooms and resort zones
- Define which outlets serve each building or area, operating hours, permitted destinations, and who resolves an incomplete room number. A table QR code alone does not validate a hotel guest or room.
- Seated and in-seat service
- Table QR codes can carry the table number. For rows, seats, or loungers, review how the location will be captured and displayed; do not assume a seat map or automatic seat assignment.
Connect ordering without assuming a PMS connection
Owned ordering channels and merchant operations provide the order flow. Property systems require their own agreed integration.
Review POS connections- PMS and room charges
- Confirm the PMS product and version, available API access, guest lookup, room-charge authorization, failed postings, reversals, and checkout reconciliation. A room number entered by a guest is not authorization to debit a folio.
- Payments, POS, and hardware
- Review the supported gateway and POS connector separately. Confirm printer, kitchen-screen, and device compatibility for the actual installation before buying hardware.
Questions about your operation
Can guests order room service from their phones?
A branded web or app ordering flow can serve the property’s menu. Configure the outlet, service hours, guest destination, payment, and staff handoff for your room-service operation.
Does ordering include PMS or room-folio billing?
Do not assume it does. Bring the exact PMS and required room-charge workflow to the scope review; API permissions, guest validation, posting, refunds, and reconciliation must be confirmed.
Can this serve guests at seats or by the pool?
Review the location identifier and fulfillment process for each area. Table QR ordering is documented; row, seat, and lounger workflows need their own configuration review.
