Keep drink orders connected to the table and the bar.
Give guests a branded menu and ordering flow while your team receives and prepares orders. Review table service, drink options, checkout, and the handoff between the bar and the floor.
From order to handoff
- 1Open the table’s menuGenerate an eat-in QR code with a table number, then test that the guest reaches the correct venue and menu.
- 2Select drinks and optionsConfigure products and options for sizes, mixers, and other choices you actually offer. Keep availability aligned with what the bar can prepare.
- 3Receive and serveManage incoming orders in the merchant workflow. Agree how table details and modifiers reach the bar and who brings each order to the guest.
- 4Pay and reconcileChoose the supported payment flow and review how staff handle declined payments, cancellations, and refunds. Review POS mapping separately.
Define drinks and table service together
A digital menu becomes useful when the team can identify what was ordered and where to serve it.
Review table ordering- Beverages and availability
- Organize the drinks menu, configure permitted product options, and switch unavailable products or options off. Confirm preparation instructions in the order received by staff.
- Tables and floor staff
- Use table context for seated ordering. Demonstrate any staff-assisted entry, permissions, and kitchen or printer handoff with the actual venue setup.
Scope alcohol sales and open tabs explicitly
A working checkout does not by itself establish permission to sell alcohol or authorize a running tab.
Review payment gateways- Alcohol service
- The operator must define applicable licensing, age and identity checks, service hours, and refusal procedures for its location. Confirm how the selected ordering and handoff flow supports those procedures; do not assume automatic legal compliance.
- Open tabs and split bills
- If guests need a running tab, card preauthorization, later capture, or seat-level bill splitting, review that exact workflow with the POS and payment provider. An order checkout is not proof that those capabilities are configured.
Connect the POS and equipment you actually use
Keep the current POS where a supported connection fits. Agree the connector’s scope before rollout.
Explore POS integrations- Menu and order mapping
- Confirm item and modifier identifiers, prices, taxes, status updates, failures, and refunds for the chosen connector. Do not assume every POS carries the same fields.
- Hardware and receipts
- Review the actual printer, terminal, and connection method before purchasing. A receipt does not establish fiscal-invoice compliance; review local requirements and the responsible system separately.
Questions about your operation
Can customers order drinks with a table QR code?
Yes, eat-in QR codes can identify a table and open its store menu. Configure the beverages you sell and test payment, preparation, and service at that table.
Does this include open bar tabs?
Confirm running balances, preauthorization, delayed capture, and bill splitting against the proposed POS and payment setup. They should not be assumed from ordinary order checkout.
Does the software make alcohol sales compliant?
The venue must define its local obligations and service procedures. Review age verification, permitted hours, and refusal handling for the actual implementation; no universal compliance claim applies.
