How a delivery moves

  1. When an order goes to Lalamove, Ordering.co requests a quote for your store and the customer’s location.
  2. Ordering.co places the Lalamove order with the quote and saves the Lalamove order ID on the order.
  3. Lalamove sends status updates as it assigns a driver, the driver picks up the order, and the delivery is completed. The Lalamove tracking link is saved on the order.
  4. If the order is canceled in Ordering.co, the Lalamove order is canceled too.

Set up and go live

The Ordering.co Lalamove setup guide walks through each step:

  1. Get your API key and API secret from the Lalamove Partner Portal, for sandbox and for production.
  2. In the Ordering.co Dashboard, open Plugins, add the Lalamove plugin, and enter your credentials. Add a Partner ID if you want to identify where orders come from.
  3. In Delivery > Delivery Companies, create a delivery company named exactly lalamove, then set its address, time zone, schedule, capacity, and priority.
  4. Run test deliveries with Development Mode on, then turn it off to go live with your production credentials.

When is the Lalamove delivery requested?

When an order goes to Lalamove, Ordering.co requests a Lalamove quote for your store and the customer's location and places the Lalamove order right away, with the store and customer contact details.

What does the customer see after ordering?

The order status follows the Lalamove order, from assigning a driver to driver assigned, picked up, and completed. Lalamove's tracking link is saved on the order.

What happens if an order is canceled?

Canceling the order in Ordering.co cancels the Lalamove order. If Lalamove rejects the delivery, the order shows it was rejected by the delivery company.

How do I tell Lalamove orders from Ordering.co apart in my Lalamove account?

Each Lalamove order carries your Ordering.co order number and store name, and you can add a Partner ID in the plugin settings to identify where the orders come from.
