Order management

Hear about every order, then print or export it your way.

Choose whether the Dashboard's new-order alert disappears or stays until your team closes it, send each store's orders to the inbox it uses, and print or export every order from the Business App or a connected printer.

Order alerts and printing

What you can do

  • New-order alert style

Choose whether the Dashboard's new-order alert disappears after a few seconds or stays on screen until your team closes it.

  • Order-receipt email per store

Set the email address that receives a store's new orders when you add it, and edit it later from its Notifications.

  • Order summary before you print

Review the order, customer and business details, items, and bill on the order summary before you print or export it.

  • System printer or PDF

Print to a system printer through the device's print dialog, or save the order as a PDF, from the Business App.

  • Saved printers for tickets

Configure a Star Micronics or Epson printer by nickname, paper width, and connection, then print a ticket from Ticket Preview.

  • Auto print after accepting an order

Turn on Auto print after accepting order so an accepted order prints to every saved printer automatically.

  • A kitchen printer at the store

Connect a GPRS kitchen printer to a store so accepted orders print automatically in the kitchen.

  • Pickup display

Show customers which orders are ready for pickup.

Dashboard

Choose how the new-order alert behaves.

The Dashboard shows a visual alert when a new order arrives. Choose whether it disappears automatically or stays until your team closes it.

  • No (Temporary): the alert appears on screen for a few seconds and then disappears automatically
  • Yes (Persistent): the alert remains on screen until an administrator interacts with it or closes it
  • Set the preference from Settings > Dashboard Customization, alongside the Dashboard's logo, sign-in background, favicon, title, and button color
  • The same notification preference also appears in the Dashboard product editor under My products

Business App and Dashboard

Print or export every order the way your team works.

Review an order summary before you print it or save it as a PDF, connect saved printers for tickets, and print automatically in the kitchen.

  • The order summary shows the order, customer, and business details, items, and bill before you print it
  • Choose System printer to open the operating system's print dialog, or Save / Export PDF to generate a PDF
  • On iOS, Save / Export PDF opens the system share sheet; on Android, it opens the system print flow
  • Configure a saved printer by brand, Star Micronics or Epson, with a nickname, a paper width of 80 mm or 58 mm, and a Bluetooth, LAN/Wi-Fi, or USB connection
  • Auto print after accepting order prints a ticket automatically to every saved printer once it's turned on
  • A store can also connect a GPRS kitchen printer so accepted orders print automatically, without a manual step

Dashboard

Send each store's orders to the inbox it uses.

Every store has an order-receipt email that receives its new orders as they come in.

  • Set the order-receipt email when you add a new store, in Receive orders
  • Edit it later from the store's Notifications
  • Order details are delivered to that address as soon as an order comes in

How it works

From setup to the next order.

  1. 01Set the alert style

Choose a temporary or persistent new-order alert from Settings > Dashboard Customization.

  2. 02Connect your printers and inbox

Add a saved printer by brand and connection, set a store's order-receipt email, and connect a kitchen printer where you use one.

  3. 03Print or export as orders arrive

Review the order summary, then print it to a system printer, save it as a PDF, or let Auto print and the kitchen printer handle it.

Good to know

  • Auto print and the kitchen printer only work once you've connected and saved a printer.
  • Saved printers support the Star Micronics and Epson brands documented for the Business App, over Bluetooth, LAN/Wi-Fi, or USB.
