Sources

Rappi Cargo delivers. Ordering.co runs the order.

Rappi Cargo gives you Rappi’s couriers for orders placed on your own channels, without listing on the Rappi app. Ordering.co gives you the channels those orders come from and the tools to run them:

  • Your own channels. Branded websites, apps, and kiosks where customers order from you directly.
  • More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across ordering, loyalty, marketplaces, call centers, and delivery.
  • One delivery operation. Combine Rappi Cargo with other delivery companies and your in-house drivers, with automatic assignment.
  • Built to extend. APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.

Why use Rappi Cargo with Ordering.co

  • The fee is known at checkout. Ordering.co gets a Rappi Cargo estimate for the customer’s address before the order is placed.
  • No manual dispatch. The delivery is created in Rappi Cargo as soon as the order is placed, and your stores are registered in Rappi Cargo automatically the first time they need a courier.
  • The courier knows when to come. When your team marks the order ready for pickup, Ordering.co tells Rappi Cargo the order is ready.
  • Customers follow every step. Status and the tracking link update in Ordering.co from Rappi Cargo’s own events.
  • Cash and vehicle options. Accept cash on delivery, and request a car for orders too large for a courier bag.

What Rappi Cargo brings

Rappi describes Rappi Cargo on its business site:

  • Rappi’s courier fleet for on-demand deliveries from restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and online stores.
  • Real-time visibility, with a live tracking link and customer updates by WhatsApp, SMS, and email.
  • A portal with active and past orders, plus operational dashboards.
  • Direct integration so your system can request couriers automatically.

How a delivery moves

  1. At checkout, Ordering.co requests an estimated price from Rappi Cargo for the customer’s address.
  2. When the order is placed, the delivery is created in Rappi Cargo for the customer’s country, and the tracking link is saved on the order.
  3. When the order is marked ready for pickup, Ordering.co lets Rappi Cargo know.
  4. Rappi Cargo sends status updates as it finds a courier, the courier heads to your store, arrives, leaves with the order, reaches the customer, and delivers.
  5. If the order is canceled in Ordering.co before pickup, the delivery is canceled in Rappi Cargo.

Set up and go live

  1. Ask your Rappi Cargo account manager for your API tokens. Each token belongs to one account and one environment, so request both a production token and a sandbox token.
  2. In the Ordering.co Dashboard, open Plugin settings and select the Rappi Cargo integration. Enter the production and sandbox tokens.
  3. Choose your options: the default country, adding Rappi Cargo’s delivery fee, accepting cash orders, the vehicle type, and a default preparation time. Most options can be set per business.
  4. Send your account manager the status callback URL and header shown in the integration’s setup view. Rappi Cargo registers the callback on its side.
  5. Run test deliveries in sandbox mode, then turn sandbox off to go live.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is Rappi Cargo the same as the Rappi app?

No. Rappi Cargo is Rappi's courier service for businesses. It delivers orders your customers place on your own website, app, or kiosk. The Rappi app is a marketplace where customers order inside Rappi. Ordering.co connects to the Rappi marketplace separately.

How is the delivery fee calculated?

Ordering.co asks Rappi Cargo for an estimated price for the customer's address while the customer is at checkout, and updates it as the cart changes. You can add that fee to the order.

What does the customer see after ordering?

The order status follows the delivery as it happens, from finding a courier to the courier heading to your store, picking up, arriving at the customer, and delivering. Rappi Cargo's tracking link is saved on the order as soon as the delivery is created.

Can couriers collect cash?

Yes. Turn on cash orders and Rappi Cargo couriers collect the payment at the door. Cash collection must also be enabled on your Rappi Cargo account.

What happens if an order is canceled?

Canceling the order in Ordering.co cancels the Rappi Cargo delivery until the courier has picked up the order.

Can I combine Rappi Cargo with my own drivers?

Yes. Rappi Cargo works alongside other delivery companies and your in-house drivers, so each store can use the delivery option that fits it.

Why use Ordering.co with Rappi Cargo?

Rappi Cargo handles the courier. Ordering.co runs the order, with your own branded channels, more than 20 products and more than 1,500 features, one delivery operation across delivery companies and in-house drivers, APIs and MCP, and application source code on eligible plans.
