Sales channels and widgets
What you can do
Connect Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google My Business
Connect a business to these sales channels from Ordering Connect in the Dashboard.
Sync or push your menu
Once a channel is connected, sync the business or its menu, or push the menu to the channel.
Embeddable ordering widgets
Add ordering to an existing website with a button-and-modal, chat-style, or inline widget.
Supported integration sign-in links
A supported integration can open the ordering website and sign a customer in automatically from its own link.
Mobile web-to-app banner
Present an app-install or app-open banner to eligible mobile website visitors, through your own Branch account.
Third-party code in your site
Insert your own code in the document head or body of your ordering website, such as for an analytics or tag-manager script.
Dashboard
Connect the channels customers already use.
From Ordering Connect, connect each business to the sales channels where customers already spend time, so they can start an order from a place they already know.
- Connect a business to Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, or Google My Business from Dashboard > Connect > Sales Channels
- A Facebook connection can add a Shop now-style link on the business's page that points to its ordering menu
- The other listed channels use a comparable connection flow through the same screen
- Once a business has a connection, sync the business, sync the menu, or push the menu to the channel
- Each connection is set up per business, with its own enabled state and, where used, an external ID
Dashboard and customer website
Add ordering to a site you already have.
From My Products > Ordering Widgets, choose the placement that fits an eligible website's layout, then follow the embed instructions shown for that widget.
- Button with Modal Style opens the ordering website in a popup after the customer selects a button
- Chat Style Integration opens the ordering surface from a compact, bubble-sized window
- Inline Integration displays the ordering website inside a designated area of a landing page
- Choose the placement for the customer journey: a direct call to action, a persistent entry point, or ordering alongside campaign content
Customer website
Sign in automatically from a supported link.
A supported integration can provide a link that opens your ordering website and signs a customer in automatically, without a separate sign-in form.
- Opening the link starts an automatic sign-in handoff, with a loading state while the website completes it
- When the handoff finishes, the website continues to the page the link and the account's current state point to
- Profile completion or contact verification can still appear before or after the handoff, the same as any other sign-in
- The link carries sign-in information; it is meant to be opened once, from a trusted source, and not shared or reused
Customer website and app
Send mobile visitors to your app.
Present an app-install or app-open banner to eligible visitors on your mobile website, built on Branch's Web-to-App journey.
- Requires your own Branch account with the Web-to-App journey and a template enabled, and your iOS or Android app already published
- Choose the audience: iOS users, Android users, or both, by region
- Customize the customer-visible app name, description, logo, and background shown in the banner
- Add the Branch web script to your website's Third-party code header field, then rebuild the site
Dashboard
Insert your own code in the site's head or body.
Advanced Settings includes a Third-Party Code area to insert code into the document head or body of an ordering website.
- Add code to the document head or body from Advanced Settings > Third-Party Code
- Use it to connect tools such as Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel
- Changes can affect the customer-facing website, so review the result after saving
How it works
From setup to the next order.
- 01Pick a channel or a widget
Connect a sales channel from Ordering Connect, or choose the widget type that fits a website you already have.
- 02Configure it
Set up the business-level connection, or configure and embed the widget on the destination page.
- 03Test before customers see it
Confirm the connection, the destination, and how the widget looks on desktop and mobile before it goes live.
Good to know
- Availability for each sales channel depends on the provider and your account with it.
- The mobile web-to-app banner needs your own Branch account with the Web-to-App journey enabled; Ordering.co does not provide that account.
