Order management

Enter an order for a customer, by hand.

When a customer needs an order entered on their behalf, an administrator builds it from the Dashboard, from a store's products or a custom total, and can correct the contact details saved on an order afterward.

Manual orders

What you can do

  • A manual order from the Dashboard

An administrator builds an order for a customer directly from the Orders list, for special requests, high-volume orders, or approved promotional orders.

  • Find or add the customer

Search an existing customer by phone number, or create a new one, then select or add their delivery address.

  • Choose the order type and store

Select delivery, pickup, eat in, curbside, or drive thru, then pick an eligible store that is open for that address and order type.

  • Build the order from products

Add the store's products with their required options and quantities, editing or removing them before you submit.

  • Or record a custom total

Represent the order with a custom total, a comment, and an optional external ID instead of individual products.

  • Edit customer details on an order

Correct the phone number, email, address, map location, and delivery notes saved on a single order, without changing the customer's account.

Dashboard

Build the order, step by step

Create custom order builds a staff-assisted order the same way an administrator handles any special request: find the customer, choose where and how the order is fulfilled, then add products or a total.

  • Search by at least seven digits of the customer's phone number, or select New user to create one
  • Select an existing address or add a new one, with its location confirmed on the map
  • Choose the order type available for that store: delivery, pickup, eat in, curbside, or drive thru
  • Only stores that are open and eligible for the address and order type appear
  • Order by products: add each item with its required options and quantity
  • Order by total: enter a custom amount, a comment, and an optional external ID, instead of individual products
  • Review the payment method, driver tip, and every checkout warning before you place the order
  • Available from Orders list and from the All in one delivery view, restricted to administrator-level accounts

Dashboard

Correct the customer details on an order

When the contact or delivery details on a placed order are wrong, correct them from that order without touching the customer's saved profile.

  • Open the customer section of the order and select the edit icon
  • Update the phone number, email, or address
  • Move the map marker to correct the delivery location
  • Update the delivery notes

How it works

From setup to the next order.

  1. 01Find the customer

Search by phone number or add a new customer, then select or add their delivery address.

  2. 02Choose fulfillment and build the order

Pick the order type and an eligible store, then add products or enter a custom total.

  3. 03Review and place the order

Check the customer, address, order type, store, products or total, and payment details, resolve any warning, then place the order.

Good to know

  • Creating a manual order needs an administrator-level account, and the fields you see depend on the order type, store availability, payment methods, and your checkout rules.
  • Editing a customer's details on an order updates that order only. It does not change the customer's saved profile for future orders.
