Automation integration

Connect Ordering.co to thousands of apps with Zapier.

Send Ordering.co events such as new sign-ups and new orders to Zapier, and trigger actions in thousands of other apps without writing code.

Zapier connects your apps. Ordering.co runs the ordering.

Zapier moves information between the tools your team already uses. Ordering.co gives it the events that matter, from the ordering operation underneath:

  • More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across websites, apps, marketplaces, kiosks, call centers, loyalty, and delivery.
  • Your own branded channels. Customers order from your website, apps, and kiosks, and every event can start a workflow.
  • Your design, not a template. Build an ordering experience with your own custom design, with help from our team.
  • Built to extend. When a workflow outgrows Zapier, use APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.

Why use Zapier with Ordering.co

  • Act on events as they happen. Ordering.co sends the event to Zapier through a webhook, so a new sign-up or a new order can start a workflow right away.
  • No code to maintain. Choose the trigger and the action in Zapier and paste one URL into the Dashboard.
  • Use the data from the event. Map fields from the Ordering.co record into the next app, such as a new customer’s email in a welcome message.
  • One automation per job. Create as many Zaps as you need, each with its own trigger and action.

What Zapier brings

Zapier describes its platform on How Zapier works:

  • Workflows across thousands of apps, with AI steps and code actions when you need them.
  • Conditional logic that routes data to different teams or tools with if/then paths.
  • Run history and retries in the Workflow Manager, so you can see every step and resolve issues.

How an event reaches your other apps

  1. You create a Zap that starts with an Ordering.co trigger, such as New User.
  2. You add the Zap’s webhook URL in the Ordering.co Dashboard with the same trigger.
  3. When the event happens, for example a customer signs up, Ordering.co sends its details to Zapier.
  4. Zapier runs the action you configured, such as sending an email through Gmail with the fields you mapped.

Set up and go live

The Ordering.co Zapier setup guide walks through each step:

  1. Sign in to Zapier and accept the Ordering.co app invite linked in the guide.
  2. Select Create Zap, choose the latest Ordering app version, and select the trigger event.
  3. Copy the webhook URL Zapier shows for the trigger.
  4. In the Ordering.co Dashboard, open Settings > Pro > Developers > Webhooks, select Add new webhook, paste the URL, choose the same trigger, and save it with the + control.
  5. Create a matching event in Ordering.co and select Test trigger in Zapier to review the received record.
  6. Choose the action app, map the fields, test the step, and publish the Zap.

Marketing automations teams build with Zapier

Starting from the New Order or New User trigger, common Zaps route Ordering.co events into the marketing and sales tools a team already uses:

  • Sync new orders to a CRM. Create or update a lead record each time an order comes in, so the sales or account team sees it without checking Ordering.co directly.
  • Post an alert to Slack. Notify a channel when a new order is placed, useful for a small team that wants to see order activity as it happens.
  • Log sales to a spreadsheet or BI tool. Add each new order to Google Sheets, or send it to the business intelligence tool a team already reports from.
  • Trigger a targeted email campaign. Send a customer’s order to Mailchimp or a similar email tool to base a campaign on what they ordered.
  • Follow up after the order. Send a personalized thank-you message or a post-delivery survey once an order is complete, using the customer details from the event.

More ways to automate Ordering.co

  • Webhooks send Ordering.co events straight to your own systems.
  • Ordering API reads and updates your Ordering.co data from your own applications.
  • Plugins extend the platform with additional functionality.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which Ordering.co events can start a Zap?

Zapier lists the Ordering.co triggers available to you when you build the Zap. Examples include a new user signing up and an order being placed.

Do I need a developer to use Zapier?

No. You choose the trigger and the action in Zapier, paste one webhook URL into the Ordering.co Dashboard, and map the fields you need. No code is required.

Which fields can I use in the action?

Any field included in the webhook Ordering.co sends for that event. After you test the trigger, Zapier shows the received record so you can map its fields into the action, such as a new customer's email in a Gmail message.

Can I run several automations?

Yes. Create a Zap for each workflow, each with its own Ordering.co trigger, matching Dashboard webhook, and action.

Why does the Dashboard trigger have to match the Zap?

Ordering.co sends the webhook for the event you select in the Dashboard. When it matches the trigger you chose in Zapier, the Zap receives exactly the events it expects.

When should I use webhooks or the API instead?

Zapier suits no-code workflows between apps. If you are building your own system, send events directly to it with webhooks, or read and write data with the Ordering.co API.
