- 3Picked up and delivered
The Uber Direct courier collects the order at your store and takes it to the customer.

Uber Direct delivers. Ordering.co runs the order.
Uber Direct gives you on-demand couriers without listing on a marketplace. Ordering.co gives you the channels those orders come from and the tools to run them:
- Your own channels. Branded websites, apps, and kiosks where customers order from you directly.
- More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across ordering, loyalty, marketplaces, call centers, and delivery.
- One delivery operation. Combine Uber Direct with other delivery companies and your in-house drivers.
- Built to extend. APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.
Why use Uber Direct with Ordering.co

- No manual dispatch. The delivery is created in Uber Direct as soon as the order is placed.
- Customers follow every step. Status and courier details update in Ordering.co from Uber Direct’s own events.
- Cash and verification options. Accept cash on delivery and require a drop-off PIN when you need it.
What Uber Direct brings
Uber describes Uber Direct on its merchant help page and developer overview:
- White-label delivery for orders from your own website, app, or other sales channels.
- Uber’s courier network for on-demand deliveries.
- Delivery quotes, dispatch, and status updates through the Uber Direct API.
How a delivery moves
- At checkout, Ordering.co requests a quote from Uber Direct for the customer’s address.
- When the order is placed, the delivery is created in Uber Direct and a tracking link is saved on the order.
- Uber Direct sends status updates as the courier heads to your store, arrives, picks up the order, heads to the customer, arrives, and delivers.
- The courier’s name, phone, and photo appear with the order. If the order is canceled in Ordering.co, the delivery is canceled in Uber Direct.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is Uber Direct the same as Uber Eats?
No. Uber Direct delivers orders your customers place on your own website, app, or kiosk. Uber Eats is a marketplace where customers order inside the Uber Eats app. Ordering.co connects to Uber Eats separately.
How is the delivery fee calculated?
Ordering.co requests a delivery quote from Uber Direct while the customer is at checkout, for the customer's address. You can add Uber's fee to the order, and the quote is reused when the order is placed while it is still valid, so the courier request matches what the customer saw.
What does the customer see after ordering?
The order status follows the delivery as it happens, from the courier heading to your store to pickup, drop-off, and delivered. The courier's name, phone, and photo appear with the order, and a tracking link is saved on it.
Can couriers collect cash?
Yes. Turn on cash orders and Uber Direct couriers collect the payment at drop-off. You can also require a PIN at drop-off to verify the delivery.
What happens if an order is canceled?
Canceling the order in Ordering.co cancels the Uber Direct delivery.
Can I combine Uber Direct with my own drivers?
Yes. Uber Direct works alongside other delivery companies and your in-house drivers, so each store can use the delivery option that fits it.
Why use Ordering.co with Uber Direct?
Uber Direct handles the courier. Ordering.co runs the order, with your own branded channels, more than 20 products and more than 1,500 features, custom design with help from our team, APIs and MCP, and application source code on eligible plans.
