Shopify runs your catalog. Ordering.co runs local ordering.

Shopify is built for e-commerce and retail. Ordering.co is the specialist for restaurants and local on-demand commerce, with delivery zones, pickup, scheduled orders, and drivers. You keep Shopify as your catalog and back office and get a much more powerful local ordering operation:

  • More products and features. More than 20 products and more than 1,500 features across websites, apps, marketplaces, kiosks, call centers, loyalty, and delivery.
  • Your design, not a template. Build an ordering experience with your own custom design, and our team helps you customize it.
  • Built to extend. Connect your own tools through APIs and MCP, with application source code available on eligible plans.
  • Delivery included. Auto-assign delivery companies or your in-house drivers, with order status kept in step with Shopify.

Why use Shopify with Ordering.co

  • One catalog to maintain. Update products, prices, and variants in Shopify and sync them to your online store instead of editing two catalogs.
  • Orders land in Shopify. Online orders are created in Shopify, with pickup orders marked for pickup in store.
  • Status stays aligned. Fulfillment and cancellation in Shopify update the order in Ordering.co, and status changes in Ordering.co fulfill, close, or cancel the order in Shopify.
  • Tracking details carried over. When Shopify fulfills an order, its carrier and tracking link are added to the order in Ordering.co.

What Shopify brings

Shopify describes its point of sale on Shopify POS:

  • Inventory across locations, managed from one back office.
  • One back office for every channel, in person, online, on social media, and on marketplaces.
  • Customer insights captured at checkout.
  • Reporting on what sells best and when you are busiest.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Shopify already sells online. Why add Ordering.co?

Shopify is built for e-commerce and retail. Ordering.co is the specialist for restaurants and local on-demand commerce, with delivery zones, pickup, scheduled orders, and drivers, plus more than 20 products and more than 1,500 features, custom design with help from our team, APIs and MCP, and application source code on eligible plans. You keep Shopify as your catalog and back office and run local ordering on top of it.

What does the Shopify integration sync?

Your catalog comes from Shopify, including collections, products, options, variants, the first product image, and descriptions. Online orders go to Shopify as delivery or pickup orders. Fulfillment and cancellation in Shopify update the order in Ordering.co, status changes in Ordering.co fulfill, close, or cancel the order in Shopify, and orders deleted in Ordering.co are canceled in Shopify.

How are variant prices handled?

The lowest variant price becomes the product price, and each other variant adds the difference. A product with Small, Medium, and Large sizes shows the same final prices online as in Shopify. For products with more than one option, such as size and color, the lowest variant price is used.

How should I organize my Shopify catalog before syncing?

Assign products to custom collections, because each custom collection becomes a category in Ordering.co. Products that are not in a custom collection appear under Uncategorized. Only active products are shown online.

What happens when an order is fulfilled in Shopify?

The order is marked as delivered in Ordering.co, and the carrier, tracking number, and tracking link from the Shopify fulfillment are added to the order.

Can I connect several stores?

Yes. Each Ordering.co store connects with its own Shopify credentials and location, so you can connect different Ordering.co stores to different Shopify stores.
