- Congo - Kinshasa
FreshPay is operated by MOKO Afrika (Freshbakery Congo SARL, licensed by the Central Bank of Congo as a payment aggregator), and its merchant dashboard is published for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. MOKO Afrika also names Cameroon as a key market, but no official page confirms FreshPay merchant onboarding there, so it is not included. Account approval and available payment methods depend on the provider.

Set up and go live
- Open a FreshPay merchant account with MOKO Afrika and get your merchant ID and merchant secret for sandbox and production.
- Ordering.co installs the FreshPay integration on your project.
- In the Ordering.co Dashboard, add your FreshPay credentials, set the payment approval window, and enable FreshPay for each business that should offer it. Credentials can also be set per business.
- Place test orders in the sandbox environment.
- Switch the environment to production to accept real payments.
Keep your merchant secret private. Enter it only in the Dashboard, never in emails, tickets, or shared documents.
How it works
The customer chooses a wallet and approves the payment on their phone.
- 01Choose the mobile money operator
At checkout, the customer selects M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Orange Money, or Afrimoney and enters their phone number.
- 02Approve on the phone
FreshPay sends a payment request to the customer's phone, and the customer confirms it with their mobile money PIN.
- 03Order confirmed
Ordering.co checks the payment status with FreshPay and creates the order once the payment succeeds.

What payment methods can customers use?
Customers can pay with M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Orange Money, or Afrimoney. They choose their operator at checkout and approve the payment on their phone.
How does the customer confirm the payment?
After entering their phone number, the customer receives a payment request on their phone and confirms it with their mobile money PIN. The order is created once FreshPay reports the payment as successful.
What happens if the customer does not approve the payment?
The customer has a limited time to approve the payment, 10 minutes by default and adjustable from 1 to 20 minutes. If the payment is not approved in time, the cart is canceled and no order is created.
Which currencies are supported?
FreshPay payments are charged in Congolese francs (CDF) or US dollars (USD).
In which countries can I use FreshPay?
FreshPay serves merchants in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as shown on this page. You need a FreshPay merchant account, which MOKO Afrika approves.
