Content management

## What you can do

- ### Static pages

Create pages for a privacy policy, terms and conditions, FAQs, help, campaign landing pages, or links to external resources.

- ### A visual editor

Format page content with headings, lists, links, images, video, and tables, without writing code.

- ### Homepage content

Update welcome messages, promotions, images, buttons, and links on your homepage.

- ### Footer content

Keep contact details, social links, legal pages, navigation links, and copyright text in your footer.

- ### HTML and CSS in Code View

Open Code View to edit the HTML and CSS of the homepage and the markup of the footer and your pages.

- ### SEO for every page

Give each static page a slug, an SEO title, an SEO description, and an SEO image.

- ### SEO for stores, products, and categories

Set titles, descriptions, and URLs for your stores, products, and categories, with an SEO image and, for products, keywords.

- ### Help section

Publish help pages, ordering guides, and FAQs, and choose whether Help appears in your website menu.

Dashboard

## A page for every policy, guide, and campaign.

Dashboard > Settings > CMS keeps your static pages in one list. Search it, add a page, turn each page on or off, or open a page to edit it.

- Create pages for a privacy policy, terms and conditions, FAQs, help, campaign landing pages, or a list of external resources
- Name each page and give it a readable slug for its URL
- Write the body in a visual editor with headings, lists, links, images, video, and tables
- Switch the editor to code view to add your own HTML
- Set an SEO title, an SEO description, and an SEO image for each page
- Turn each page on or off from the list
- Search the list before adding a page, and edit or delete pages from each row
- Link new pages from your homepage or footer so customers can find them

Dashboard

## Change the homepage and footer yourself.

Homepage Content and Footer Content hold what customers see first and last on your ordering website: welcome messages, promotions, contact details, social links, and legal links. Edit them visually or in Code View.

- Update welcome messages, promotions, images, buttons, and links on the homepage
- Open Code View to edit the HTML and CSS of the homepage
- Upload an image from the editor and use its URL in your content or CSS
- Keep contact details, social links, legal pages, navigation links, and copyright text in the footer
- Edit the footer markup in Code View
- Accept and save the change, then open My Website to check it on your site

Dashboard

## Describe each page the way you want it found.

SEO fields sit next to the content they describe, on each static page, store, and product, so titles and descriptions stay current as the content changes.

- SEO title, description, and image for each static page
- SEO image, title, description, and slug for each store
- SEO image, title, description, keywords, and slug for each product
- Titles, descriptions, and URLs for categories
- Descriptions for images, so search engines understand what they show
- Title tags, header tags, and alt tags in your page content

Website and Dashboard

## Help that lives inside your ordering channels.

Give customers a place to find answers without leaving your site. Build the help content as pages in the CMS, and choose whether Help appears in your website menu.

- FAQs customers can search
- Guides and tutorial videos that show how to order
- Contact details for when an answer is not there
- Pages for help with an order, an ordering guide, or FAQs
- Show or hide Help in the website menu from Advanced Settings

How it works

## How to add a page.

1. 01**Open the CMS**

In Dashboard > Settings > CMS, find the page you want to change or add a new one.

2. 02**Write and describe the page**

Enter the name, slug, and content, then the SEO title and description.

3. 03**Turn it on and link it**

Accept the changes, turn the page on, and link it from your homepage or footer.

## Good to know

- The CMS changes the content and styling of your Ordering.co website. For changes beyond that, your team can build on the web storefront’s frontend source code, open source and included with every Ordering.co product.
- Code View edits the HTML and CSS your customers see. Keep a copy of the current content before a change, and check the result on desktop and mobile.
- Deleting a page from the CMS has no restore step, so keep a copy of any content you may need again.
