# Ordering.co vs Fudo

Fudo already combines restaurant POS, inventory, payments, and its Tu Delivery storefront. Its Mexican offer also includes WhatsApp ordering; it is not simply a cash register. Ordering.co is an alternative when the decision centers on branded customer apps, connected delivery operations, or a marketplace across merchants. Start by deciding which counter, fiscal, and inventory workflows must stay, then compare the customer journey and operating responsibilities.

## What Ordering.co adds to the decision

- ### Design the customer channel around your brand

Connect a branded website and native customer apps to merchant and driver operations. Compare the complete reorder, checkout, notification, and support journey against the Tu Delivery link your customers already use.

- ### Coordinate delivery as part of the order

Define service zones, driver availability, assignment, and proof together. Fudo offers delivery workflows and Uber Direct; the comparison is about your required fleet and exception handling, not whether Fudo has delivery at all.

- ### Build beyond a single restaurant storefront

For an operator bringing several merchants into one marketplace, Ordering.co connects customer discovery, merchant tools, cross-store checkout, and drivers. A multi-branch POS view and a consumer marketplace solve different jobs.

## Compare the operating model

| POS and inventory | Merchant order operations and Dashboard; scope specialized stock, recipes, and fiscal requirements with the systems your store uses. | Counter sales, cash management, and QR menu; inventory and recipes appear in Avanzado and Pro. |
| Direct ordering and WhatsApp | Branded websites and customer apps for iOS and Android, connected to the same catalog and order flow. | Tu Delivery provides a branded ordering page and WhatsApp order intake connected to Fudo. |
| Delivery fulfillment | Your drivers use assignment, navigation, in-order communication, and PIN, photo, signature, or video proof. Connected delivery partners can participate in the fulfillment design. | Delivery order management and Uber Direct logistics are documented; provider eligibility and payment conditions vary by country. |
| Payments | Connect payment gateways to the ordering flow. Confirm country, merchant account, fees, refunds, and settlement with the selected provider. | Fudo Pagos and payment options vary by country/account. Mexican accounts do not need Mercado Pago merely to activate Tu Delivery. |
| Commercial scope and control | | |
| Subscription and transaction costs | Compare the agreed platform, implementation, usage, payment, and delivery charges at your locations and order volume. Customer branding does not mean owning the backend. | Mexico monthly list prices: Inicial MXN 360, Avanzado MXN 690, Pro MXN 1,050, excluding VAT; optional modules add to the plan. |
| Customer records | Retain control of your customer relationship; map fields and lawful use before importing. | Fudo documents customer export in XLSX; an export is not a complete migration of orders, payments, or fiscal history. |
| Builder capabilities | | |
| Checkout across independent merchants | Operate multiple merchants, their catalogs, and one checkout across stores, with a delivery or pickup time per order. | Not listed |
| Open-source ordering frontends | The storefront, customer apps, Merchant App, Driver App, and Dashboard frontends are open source and included with every product. Backend and API remain managed by default. | Not listed |
| Enterprise installation in your cloud account | Managed infrastructure by default. Enterprise organizations can agree an installation in their own AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Railway account. | Not listed |

“Not listed” means the capability does not appear in Fudo's product lineup. Confirm scope and terms with each provider.

## Check these boundaries before choosing

- ### A POS subscription is not the complete delivery bill

Separate the POS plan, optional modules, payment processing, and courier charges. Fudo’s activation help announces no per-sale Tu Delivery service fee in Mexico until January 1, 2028, while its Mexico landing still describes a transaction tariff. Confirm the terms in your account; that promotion does not establish that card processing or a courier is free.

- ### A new ordering channel does not replace fiscal operations

If Fudo runs your cash closing, ingredient stock, and tax documents, retain those responsibilities until the replacement or connection has passed a real shift. A customer app migration does not migrate the fiscal ledger.

## Proven with enterprise brands.

The platform you would run on already runs ordering for Alsea, a multi-brand restaurant group with more than 4,000 locations.

[Alsea runs WOW+ and ten restaurant brands on one ordering platform.Domino's, Starbucks, Burger King, Vips, and six more brands share one app, one website, call centers, and a delivery operation that assigns drivers automatically.**10** brands on WOW+**4,262** locationsMexico and ColombiaRead the Alsea story](https://www.ordering.co/customers/alsea/)

## Keep the shift stable while changing the channel

### What moves

- #### Menu and modifiers

Map Fudo products, recipes, prices, extras, availability, and taxes to the customer-facing catalog; preserve the POS recipe owner.

- #### Customers and delivery settings

Use an authorized XLSX customer export and validate consent, addresses, zones, and contact fields. Do not copy stored payment credentials.

### How the move runs

1. #### Choose coexistence or replacement

List what stays in Fudo and who owns each menu, order, payment, refund, and fiscal event. Scope any connector before assuming automatic injection.

2. #### Test the complete order

Run pickup, own-driver delivery, a courier request, a failed payment, and a refund with the same store data. Reconcile both systems without duplicate kitchen tickets.

3. #### Move the customer entry point

Switch your website links and customer messaging after staff can operate the new queue. Keep historical records accessible and retire the old ordering entry point only after reconciliation.

No active Fudo-to-Ordering.co connector is promised. App-store approval, field mapping, and migration timing depend on the agreed project.

## Questions from Fudo buyers

Is Fudo only a point of sale?

No. Fudo also documents restaurant management, its Tu Delivery storefront, WhatsApp ordering, payments, and delivery workflows. Compare the actual country offer with the channels and merchant model you need.

Does Ordering.co replace every Fudo function?

Do not assume so. Ordering.co runs ordering experiences and connected operations. Recipe inventory, counter devices, and local tax-document requirements need their own acceptance checks.

Can I keep Fudo and add Ordering.co?

Plan coexistence around a defined integration or a controlled handoff. Prove menu ownership, payment reconciliation, and kitchen routing before advertising a connection to customers or staff.

Which is the right choice for my restaurant?

Fudo may already fit your POS and direct-store needs. Evaluate Ordering.co when branded apps, connected delivery, an extensible frontend, or a multi-merchant marketplace are central to your next step. Compare the complete workflow and cost, not a feature count.
